At Kidstore Childcare, we follow Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence, which is the national approach to helping children learn and grow from early years through to secondary school.

In simple terms, it’s about developing the whole child: not just their academic skills, but also their confidence, wellbeing, creativity, and ability to work with others.

  • This is where the littlest members of our Kidstore family begin their early journey.

    In this calm, cosy space, we focus on building strong bonds with each baby and toddler, creating a secure and loving environment that feels just like home.

    Our caring team follows each child’s unique rhythm, offering sensory-rich experiences, gentle routines, and plenty of cuddles to support their growth, curiosity, and early development.

Goldspinners

  • A vibrant and playful space where growing toddlers are supported to explore, express, and become more independent.

    Here, our caring team nurtures each child’s curiosity through meaningful play, early language development, and gentle encouragement. With cosy corners, exciting learning areas, and access to the outdoors, we provide the perfect environment for little ones to build confidence, friendships, and a real sense of belonging.

Tambourers

  • This is a lively, inspiring space where children flourish as confident, capable learners.

    Here, we support each child’s growing independence, creativity, and thinking skills through rich, play-based experiences that lay strong foundations for lifelong learning.

    With a focus on early literacy, numeracy, and social development, our dedicated team works closely with families to ensure children feel ready and excited for the next step into school and beyond.

Day in the life of a Kidstore child

  • The day starts with smiles, cuddles, and a gentle welcome as little ones arrive at their home-from-home.

    After a healthy snack, it’s time to explore! Children head outdoors to our big spaces…climbing, digging, running, and discovering nature’s treasures.

    Indoors, they dive into sensory play, storytelling, and creative activities that spark imagination and curiosity.

    Every child is supported to follow their own interests, whether that means building a den, painting a masterpiece, or listening to a favourite story.

  • After a nourishing lunch and time to recharge, the afternoon brings new adventures.

    Children might plant seeds in the garden, experiment with water play, or investigate mini beasts.

    Through STEM activities, role play, and collaborative games, little ones build their confidence, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    Our team is always on hand to nurture friendships and encourage joyful learning through play.

  • As the day draws to a close, children enjoy quieter activities: stories, singing, and reflective time.

    There’s space to share the day’s discoveries and celebrate small achievements.

    Parents are welcomed with warm updates and happy faces, as little explorers head home… tired, content, and ready for a good night’s sleep after another adventure-filled day at Kidstore.
